SCHOOL AGE Swim Lessons - Ages 6 - 12 years
Fall Swim Lesson Sessions (4) 1 hour lessons on Tuesday/Thursday for two weeks
1:6 Instructor to student ratio
Students learn personal water safety and achieve basic swimming competency by learning benchmark skills:
1. Submerge, float, front glide, roll, back float, roll, back glide and exit.
2. Jump, push, turn, grab
3. Swim, Float Swim
In addition to the benchmark skills, beginning swimmers will master submerge, front glide, back glide, front float, back float, roll and exit pool safely. Having mastered the fundamentals, students learn additional water safety skills and build stroke technique, increase social-emotional and cognitive well-being, and foster a lifetime of physical activity. Advanced School Age will work on front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, side stroke, breaststroke, butterfly and treading water.
